The red hat with the curly W that the drunken man at the beach is wearing is actually a Washington Senators hat, which was worn by the Major League Baseball franchise from its 1962 inception to its 1971 move to Arlington, Texas. Twenty years after the film's release, the hat color and logo would be reused by the Washington Nationals franchise, which relocated from Montreal, Quebec, Canada in October 2004.
