The ending was changed significantly from the graphic novel. Originally, Hush was Thomas Elliot and the "Clayface doppelgänger" was used to fake Thomas's death, though the Riddler was still involved in Elliot's plan. Also, the reason for Batman and Catwoman's breakup was different in the comic.
