The villains hide in a deserted town, in which cabins are mostly burnt down. However, in the closing shot, suddenly there are several wooden oil rigs standing amidst the village, in operation, and not charred at all. As the background of the plot is about an oil company buying out land with the "aid" of the villains, the closing shot is a view into the future where the region will have developed into oil production. An oil pit is also shown near the town earlier in the movie.
