According to Rainn Wilson's memoir The Bassoon King, Steve Carell has overactive sweat glands, which created some interesting production challenges. The on-set temperature had to be kept at 64 degrees in order to keep Carell from soaking and staining his clothes. Space heaters were eventually brought in to keep the rest of the cast from freezing.
