Another of the similarities/Easter eggs paying homage to Ritorno al futuro (1985) appear when Howard and his recliner are in the sky accelerating toward the portal. For a brief moment, prior to his recliner igniting and bursting into flame, familiar twin fire streaks appear behind him.
