Episode 1.2, Designated Survivor: The First Day (2016), names the late FBI Director as "Jacobs". In the early books/movies in the Jack Ryan-series by Tom Clancy the FBI Director is called "Emil Jacobs". Might be a tribute to the author of the books that probably inspired this interesting show.
