Kajol was the very first choice for the film, but Aishwarya Rai originally signed the film. But after the 'Chalte Chalte' incident happened, she was replaced by Tabu. But Tabu was not comfortable with her careacter, and she walked out. Later on Sushmita Sen's name was join in the list. Finally the Film completed with Rani Mukherjee.
