Chip and Salsa play the parrot that talks for the pirate Cotton (David Bailie). Only one bird appears at a time, but both birds play the same character. Chip performed in most of the scenes where the parrot was required to sit patiently on a character's shoulder. Salsa performed most of the tricks and when a scene required more animation, such as flying.
