Throughout the entire series, Jane Wyman had developed a wonderful on- and off-camera relationship with Lorenzo Lamas. He said in various interviews he enjoyed working with her, the most, in several of the selected scenes, together, plus, she was very protective of him, as far as studying lines, not to mention, he also had fun with her, before he ever looked after her, throughout the series run.
