Newspaper front pages from Ghostbusters (Acchiappafantasmi) (1984) are visible in Peter's apartment, including the "USA Today" front page. Each one is framed on his wall. They are most visible when Dana is still wrapped in a towel after getting out of the shower and Peter is telling her about finding slime residue in her apartment. Even more newspapers and magazine covers from the montage scene in the first film can be spotted on the back wall at the Ghostbusters headquarters when Janine is preparing to close up for the night.
