Billie Lourd, Felicity Jones, and Jessica Henwick were among the finalists to play Rey. Henwick got the role of Jess Testor and Lourd was cast as Lt. Kaydel Ko Connix instead. Jones was eventually cast as Jyn Erso in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016).
