Ted Levine's (the voice of Rusty Nail) character Captain Leland Stottlemeyer does the same thing in Detective Monk (2002).Ted Levine's character says in Detective Monk: Mr. Monk and the Three Pies (2004) ("...just some punks on a joy ride").Steve Zahn(Fuller) & Ted Levine (the voice of Rusty Nail) would be reunited later in Detective Monk: Mr. Monk's Other Brother (2009).
