Director Dennis Gansel said of this new "Mechanic" movie series entry, and its lead central character Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham): "I've always seen Arthur Bishop as sort of a dirty James Bond. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to make the films bigger and better, and also by choosing more exotic locations, like Rio and Thailand."
