There are similarities between this film and Demolition Man (1993). Sylvester Stallone is a cop in the future that is framed for murder and his nemesis escapes from prison with the help of a corrupt politician. In both movies the politician is betrayed and murdered by Stallone's nemesis and Stallone battles his nemesis one last time and foils his sinister plan. Additionally, Rob Schneider appears in both "Demolition Man" and "Judge Dredd" and Adrienne Barbeau is in both movies voicing a computer.
