3D CGI footage of a fully formed baby is shown in the movie more than once to depict the fetus in Marilyn Monroe's womb when she had a flat stomach and was only in the first trimester of her pregnancy, when the fetus wasn't even fully developed yet. That factual inaccuracy and the scenes of the fetus talking to Monroe from her womb were heavily criticized as anti-choice propaganda. The fetus was voiced by Lily Fisher, who played Monroe as a child in this movie. In the novel, Monroe does not have a full-fledged conversation with her unborn child, but rather an anxious thought while she's unable to sleep.
