This was Michael Fassbender's first big-budget film and he claimed that he was surprised at the extravagance. Fassbender told a story of how he was given an allowance to pay for an apartment during the shoot, but when he saw the luxurious trailer provided for the set he felt like he could have just lived in the trailer.
