Due to Tara and Amber's love story being dropped from the final version of the film, an exchange between Wes and Amber at the bar was slightly altered. In the originally scripted scene, when Wes asks Amber if she's trying to protect Tara from her sister, Amber replies by telling him that she is her girlfriend. Wes then tells Amber that Tara was his girlfriend as well, to which Amber responded by saying that he and Tara only dated for five minutes. Wes then countered that by telling Amber that he would have been with Tara longer if it wasn't for her, to which Amber told him that Tara made the first move on her and that the heart wants what it wants. Had Amber's line about Wes and Tara dating for five minutes made it into the final cut of the film, it would have been a callback to the first film in which Stu told Sidney that she dated Casey Becker for two seconds before Randy implied that Casey dumped Stu for Steven Orth. This is a claim that Stu denies when questioned by Tatum Riley, who thought Stu dumped Casey for her which Stu confirms.
