This is the second Star Wars movie under Disney's Lucasfilm to have its director replaced. The first was Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), which replaced Phil Lord and Christopher Miller with Ron Howard. After the Trevorow unused script leaked, many fans argued his movie would had been better received than Abrams, using hashtags on Twitter asking for it to be re-shoot. A comic fan-made adaptation of his script exist.
