The Lotus Casino sequence was filmed at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver. On the exterior, exclusively the entrance was decorated to look like a casino entrance, and the large, beautiful fountain in front of the entrance was built by the filmmakers as well. The rest of the casino's massive exterior bells and whistles were created by the digital effects team on the computer and inserted into the shots after filming wrapped. However, the entire interior was constructed to look an enormous, beautiful casino. The filmmakers designed the interior trimmings and decorations completely from scratch, filled the interior with very convincing casino games and indoor amusement park rides, and used a brand new Maserati to set up the "win this car" stand in the casino lobby.
