Robin's civilian identity in this series is that of Detroit Police Detective Dick Grayson. In the comics, Robin/Dick Grayson was a college dropout when forming the New Teen Titans in New York City, he actually became a police detective later in his career after leaving the Titans and moving to Bludhaven to establish a solo career as the city's vigilante guardian Nightwing.
