Scott Glenn was replaced in the prequels Red Dragon (2002) and the television series Hannibal (2013) by Harvey Keitel and Laurence Fishburne. Glenn and Fishburne both appeared in Apocalypse Now (1979), and Keitel was originally cast in the lead role.
