Naseeb ran in London's art theatre circuit for many months as cult cinema, and is screened even now to packed auditoria. Aa Gale Lag Ja, his 1973 film about skating, though a non-starter in India, is still the best-known Indian film in some non-traditional overseas markets, such as Portugal and Spain.
