Set in Portland, Oregon, all filming was done in Vancouver, British Columbia, which is across the bay from Vancouver Island, home of BC's capital Victoria. If that's not confusing enough, Portland has a river border with Vancouver, Washington, named for the same 18th-century British sea captain. The fact that so many locations on both sides of the USA-Canada border have the word Vancouver in the name, is a source of considerable frustration to many residents therein.
