In the opening scene, the Indominus Rex and its sibling hatch from their eggs. The only other time in the Jurassic Park franchise where the viewer witnesses a dinosaur hatch from its egg is in Jurassic Park (1993). The aforementioned dinosaur is a velociraptor. The opening scene in this movie is most likely foreshadowing the fact that the Indominus Rex has velociraptor genes, which isn't revealed until later in the movie.
