The concept of this movie is a mix of elements from the movie Gli eredi di King Kong (1968), and the games Gojira (1988) and Gojira: Kaijû dai rantô (2002). It uses the idea of alien invaders coming to earth with an army of monsters at their disposal, having Godzilla being able to avoid control and fight the army of monsters in various cities and areas across the world comes from Gojira: Kaijû dai rantô (2002), and Mothra being his only real ally was used in Gojira (1988).
