The motivation for John Anderton to find and possibly murder Leo Crow is only shown to be based on him seeing such an event in a prevision. This is a predestination paradox. John Anderton when on the run states about Leo: 'I've never heard of him!' For example, if John had had a photo of Leo Crow with his name on the photo sent to him prior to him seeing the prevision then at least the motivation for finding and seeking him would have worked. Perhaps the filmmakers will 'add in' such a scene in a future cut of the film.
