Schofield Barracks on O'ahu still exists, and many of the old buildings look much the same as they did during filming. The original base library is now home to the Tropic Lightning Museum, which details the history of the 25th Infantry, as well as a fascinating look at what the island was like during the early days of the fort, before roads and motorized vehicles were common.
