Hyacinth and Richard's son Sheridan is the only character in the series who is in almost every episode but is never seen or heard. The only clues to his personality are revealed during one sided telephone conversations he has with Hyacinth (in which he always asks for money for extravagances such as silk pajamas) and Hyacinth's exaggerated stories of his talents and accomplishments.
