In each film.of the franchise, the final confrontation between the protagonists and antagonist ends with the latter one falling off from a cliff or something similar but with a different outcome each time. In Dhoom John Abraham's character escapes by riding the bike through the cliff, in Dhoom 2, Hrithik Roshan dies apparently after getting shot and the falling from the water fall; although it gets revealed later that he was alive. In this film also the antagonists ultimately jumps from the dam to escape their arrest and dies off screen.
