Mallika Sherawat & Chitrangada Singh both were offered & approached by the "Vishesh Films" for the lead role of Simran ; the leading lady of the film but both were declined the role by showing their arrogant attitude at that time in 2006 ; then later finally Kangana Ranaut was signed for the role in her debut film.
