There were a total of eight time-traveling storylines in the series: the 1795 storyline (which told how Barnabas Collins became a vampire), the short 1796 storyline (a redo of the final two episodes in the original 1795 storyline in which Barnabas returns to the 18th century to save Victoria Winters from the hanging gallows after she had been sent back in time a second time and is forced to relive being falsely convicted of witchcraft), the 1897 storyline (which told the story of Quentin Collins), the short 1797 storyline (the redo of the episodes surrounding Josette's death at Widows' Hill in the original 1795 storyline, in which Barnabas followed Josette's 1897 reincarnation to try and prevent her original death but was subsequently kidnapped and brainwashed by the Leviathans), the 1970 Parallel Time storyline (which saw the counterparts of many present-day characters living differently from them), the two-week 1995 storyline (which saw both Barnabas and Julia go into the future to the ruins of Collinwood being haunted by the evil ghost of Gerard Stiles), the 1840 storyline (which saw how Gerard Stiles became possessed by the beheaded evil 17th century warlock, Judah Zachary) and the 1841 Parallel Time storyline, which corresponded to the 1840 storyline just as the 1970 Parallel Storyline did with the present-day storyline. There was one stand-alone episode where the man-made Eve, the "reincarnated" Danielle Roget, and Peter Bradford's former lover, was transported to 1796 just before the latter's hanging (this episode was well after the 1795 storyline, but a little before Barnabas' first return trip there). There were two episodes that were told in flashback that took place in 1949 concerning Elizabeth Collins Stoddard's husband, Paul Stoddard, a couple of episodes that retold in flashback of the time that Maggie Evans was Barnabas' prisoner being forced to become Josette, a 1969 episode told in a flashback to 1967 about how Sabrina Stuart went into a catatonic shock after discovering that her boyfriend, Chris Jennings, was a werewolf, an episode told in flashback concerning Quentin Collins and Amanda Harris, which was not featured in the original 1897 storyline, another episode remembered in flashback concerning the conviction of the warlock Judah Zachary back in 1692, and an episode in 1841 Parallel Time told in flashback about how Brutus Collins placed a curse upon the Collins family back in 1680 Parallel Time.
