The last year of Lucille Ball's contract at RKO. The studio had suspended her for refusing to be loaned out to 20th Century-Fox for a film because she objected to being billed fourth in that picture. On the strength of her performance in this film, Ball was offered a contract at MGM. But in about fifteen years, Ball, along with her husband Desi Arnaz would own RKO.
