Antoine Ashley (Sahara Davenport), who placed 7th on the second season, passed away of heart failure on October 1st, 2012. She is the first person to compete on Drag Race to pass away. The first episode of All Stars season 1 was dedicated to her memory. Her long time partner of six years, Karl Westerberg (Manila Luzon), runner-up of Season 3 and later 6th place contestant of All Stars season 4, competed on All Stars 1, ultimately placing 7th/8th alongside teammate Timothy Wilcotts (Latrice Royale). As of August 20, 2020 a second Queen has passed away; Chi Chi DeVayne (Zavion Michael Davenport, season 8) has died of kidney failure due to complications of pneumonia. She came in 4th place in her season. Many of the RuPaul family queens, and judges, have made social media posts speaking about their time with her and how great of a performer she was.
