John Landis plays a cameo of a bearded and masked physician with large glasses who observes the Burn Doctor's ( Jenny Agutter ) presentation of Westlake's grisly immolation aftermath. Landis would later reprise the role, playing the same character in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 (2004) years later during the infamous hospital massacre scene as the doctor in whose glasses Doc Ock's waking tentacle is reflected in before being killed by it.
