A teen magazine in the late' 80s featured an interview with Tom Hanks, who had just been nominated for an Oscar for his performance in this film. Hanks claimed that while this nomination was a surprise for him, from now on his goal would be to win not one, but two Oscars in his career. He actually won two Oscars, back to back.
