The death of Chrissy in season 4 episode 1 was reminiscent of Tina Gray's (Amanda Wyss) death in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). Chrissy was killed while levitating in the air by someone who attacked her mind. Also similarly, Eddie in Stranger Things is similar to the character of Rod who ran away and hid from police thinking no one would believe him based on what he witnessed.
