Johar had his own version"Dama Dam Mast Qalandar" by Amit Kumar, Nitin Mukesh, in the movie Nasbandi. Mast Qalandar" had a old Punjabi version remixed in the album Extra Hot 7 Bhangra Remixes. Remixed by Amit and San J of The X Zecutive. This was in 1992. It also had another version in the album "House Of Shah: Mick St. Claire Remix Volume 8".This was in 1991. Ricky Kej did a cover version of the song "Mast Kalander" in his album Punjabi in the Club. "Mast Kalandar" in the movie David (2013) by Rekha Bhardwaj. Gurdas Mann and Runa Laila also did their own version of "Damadam Mast Qalandar".
