The title for the theme song "Writing's On The Wall" shares a similarity with the earlier James Bond movie Il mondo non basta (1999), by being the only other Bond movie to feature a song name mentioned in a previous Bond movie. "The World Is Not Enough" was mentioned in Agente 007 - Al servizio segreto di Sua Maestà (1969); "The Writing's On The Wall" was mentioned by Pierce Brosnan in GoldenEye (1995) (during the scene with Q).
