The way that Godzilla pins Kong down and roars in his face is shot exactly the same way the Skull Devil/Ramarak pins Kong down who is ensnared in chains in Kong Skull Island (2017) except in this Godzilla spares Kong instead of killing him whlist the Skull Devil was about to kill Kong before the human characters saved him by shooting at the Skull-Devil.
