Michael Jacobs and Ray Colcord (Composer) wrote a theme song, and it was a competitor until they heard "Take on the World" and agreed that theirs wasn't as good. On May 19, 2014, "Take on the World," the official theme song of the series, was released, being the first live-action Disney Channel theme song to be sung by two main cast members, with Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter doing a duet.
