Sajid Ali, director of Laila Majnu and brother of filmmaker Imtiaz Ali,was supposed to make his acting debut with Udaan as the lead (a teenager). However, by the time the shoot began,he was too old for the part, revealed the film's director Vikramaditya Motwane.
