The filmmakers polled Transformers fans to decide which robots to cast in the film. The most popular robots were Soundwave (twenty percent of the vote), the Constructicons and Dinobots (tied with sixteen percent), Jetfire (eleven percent), Ultra Magnus and Shockwave (tied with nine percent).
