"This story has a very contemporary element to it - but it is set in something ancient, which is our ability to love or not to love; our ability to embrace people or not embrace people we love. If people go into a cinema to watch this film and come away with having gained something in their life, then that's something we can be very proud of," said producer Mark Patterson.
