The song "Tu Maike Mat Jaiyo", R.D. Burman did a riff on his father's S.D.Burman's song, "Sun Mere Bandhu Re". The original song was used in the movie "Sujata" (1959). In the movie Pukar they used the line and changed it to "Suno Mere Lambu Re..." The "lambu" in this line referred to Amitabh Bachchan who played the lead role in the film and also sang this song. Another version was in the film Bandini as " Mere Majhi Mere Sajan Hai". The movie Abhimaan also used S.D. Burman's song during a scene with Amitabh and Jaya. The song was also used in the movie Achanak's climax scene with Vinod Khanna. Finally in the song "Main Ladki Tu Ladka" from the movie Dil Diwana, also sampled S.D. Burman's song.
