In Lois & Clark - Le nuove avventure di Superman: Strange Visitor (From Another Planet) (1993), Jason Trask (Terence Knox) asks Lois Lane (Teri Hatcher) if Superman (Dean Cain) is the advance guard of an alien invasion. He also wonders whether Superman has any telepathic powers. In the 1933 short story "The Reign of the Superman" written by Jerry Siegel and illustrated by Joe Shuster, before it was decided to make Superman a physically powerful hero, Superman was a villain with special telepathic powers.
