Duke's triumphant jump at the end of the film sends him careening through the air in front of a bright full moon, a clear homage to the similar shot in Steven Spielberg's E.T. - L'extra-terrestre (1982) and it's also similar to what Mater did in Cars - Motori ruggenti (2006).
