The last time Fry and Bender played poker together - in the series episode "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back" (2000) - Bender, not Fry, was the one who cheated. He wore X-Ray glasses to see everyone's cards, referring to them as his "lucky shades," foreshadowing his actual lucky streak in this episode.
