A victim of Red John is able to write "He is Mac" on the wall, misspelling McAllister, but giving away the real name of Red John. Another possibility is that the sentence written on wall reads "He is Mar", meaning either "He is Marshal" (confusing Red John's occupation as Sheriff with that of a Marshal) or, more likely, "He is Marked" referring to the shoulder tattoo the members of the Blake Association have.
