Heather Locklear's character was featured as the villainous, overtime on Dynasty. Similarly, the premise of her future TV series, Melrose Place, is another character who developed a "hard shell" and learned how to manipulate people so they couldn't hurt her. However, she retains a pleasant and compassionate side, which figures prominently into her character development.
