The Matador imagery is reinforced by the Bull Fighting (Matador) Sculpture (created by Luke Massassi) found in the Atreides' home on Caladan, homeworld of House Atreides, and which appears twice in the movie. The sculpture represents the constant battle between the House Harkonnen and House Atreides over the planet Arrakis and it's spice. Symbolism of the Sculpture: The Bull is the House Harkonnen. The Matador is House Atreides. The cape represents the planet Arrakis, known as Dune.
